DeltaLight®: A Bright Solution for Bird Collision Prevention
A DeltaLight® is an autonomous, active visual signaling bird diverter device that can be mounted on power lines, representing a generational shift in the current market of bird diverters.
The flexible, bistable connector system ensures a secure attachment. Thanks to the specially developed flexible connector, the device can be easily installed and removed with a drone, whether the power lines are energized or de-energized.
The connector is made of a special material that does not cause galvanic erosion or energy loss on high-voltage lines. This material also allows attachment to ACCC-type conductors operating at temperatures exceeding 180°C.
UV-Resistant, Long-Lasting Enclosure
The above-mentioned attachment method does not damage the device's plastic enclosure, ensuring a longer lifespan for the bird diverter.
The device's housing is UV-stable, wind-resistant, and weatherproof, capable of withstanding winds of up to 100 km/h safely.
The device features its own 360-degree self-illuminating light source, powered by the electric field around the conductor. Its continuously pulsating light signals danger in low visibility conditions, such as fog, dawn, dusk, and nighttime.
The light, provided by a 380-400 nm wavelength LED source, is visible to birds but does not contribute to unnecessary light pollution.
The perforated design of the optical wing silhouette increases daytime visibility and enhances evening detectability with its light-conductive properties.
The wing size is optimized to restrict lateral movement caused by wind.
